Mindfulness, Self Compassion and Stress Reduction with Selma Lewis, PhD and Trina Mann, DPT  

Selma and I have been working together for over a year to develop mindfulness practices based on the original MBSR program by John Kabat Zinn. We see this time as an opportunity to come together in a novel way to support one another in practices that enhance our well being. Join us and a lovely community as we explore walking, seated meditation and yoga in an interactive group setting.  If you are a first time meditator, or a long term practitioner, this is the class for you. Dr. Selma Lewis, PhD psychotherapy will offer her wisdom and compassionate insight on meditation and communication techniques and I will be offering mindful movement practices.

 

Online Course: we meet 8 Wednesdays 1-2 pm, beginning August 12- September 30

Roll out your mat, put your comfy clothes on and come explore yoga asana and philosophy. This class is specifically for people who are aging and want to expand their movement spectrum, sensory awareness and improve biomechanics of functional movements. 

A background in yoga is not required, but low fall risk and safety is very important. If you are uncertain if you would be appropriate for this class, please contact Trina at: brainsandbells@gmail.com
